The Story
Ferme des Peupliers natural yoghurt β the plain version, with nothing added. Two pots of 125g each, made from whole Norman milk that is pasteurised but not homogenised or standardised. The milk comes from the farm's own herd, certified GMO-free, and the yoghurt is set in the pot using traditional lactic cultures.
The result is a firm-set, full-fat natural yoghurt with a clean lactic tang and a richness that comes from using whole unhomogenised milk. The texture is dense and holds its shape on a spoon β closer to a traditional French yaourt fermier than to the loose, thin, industrially produced yoghurts that fill most chilled aisles. There is no added sugar, no flavouring, no fruit β just milk and cultures. Ferme des Peupliers has been making yoghurts in Normandy for over 55 years.
Eat it plain if you appreciate good dairy for what it is. Add honey, fruit, granola, or compote if you want sweetness. Use it in cooking wherever you would use natural yoghurt β marinades, dressings, baking β and notice the difference that proper whole-milk yoghurt makes.
Origin: Normandy, France
Ingredients: Normandy whole milk (GMO-free, <0.9%), skimmed milk powder, lactic cultures (containing milk).
Storage: Refrigerate. Check the use-by date on the pots.
Net: 2 x 125g (250g total)
Allergens: Milk.
